St. Jude's Church represents a vibrant tapestry of individuals drawn together by a shared experience of God's inclusive love that transcends race, language, and nationality. The community strives to reflect the life of Jesus, emphasizing the inherent dignity of every individual and fostering an environment where all are invited to partake in God's love, using the beauty of creation as a means to heal both body and soul.

Founded in 1992, St. Jude's emerged from the specific needs of Wilmington's community, aiming to provide a church home for those often overlooked or marginalized. Originally established as a supportive outreach to the LGBTQ community, it has consistently welcomed individuals of diverse genders, sexualities, races, and ethnicities. The community prefers not to be constrained by labels, believing that the fundamental identity shared is that of being "made in the image of God."

The church's first location was a modest wooden structure at the intersection of Castle and 5th Streets. In 2006, St. Jude's relocated to its current site on Market Street, continuing its mission uninterrupted.

Throughout its history, St. Jude's has maintained its commitment to being a spiritual home for all. It invites everyone to embrace their authentic selves and fosters a transformative spiritual experience that leads to a fulfilling and abundant life.
